Plumbcity fundraising year-long campaign results in a donation of over £2,200
Volunteer staff are absolutely central to the work of Beacon House. Without them, the Day Centre could not function the way it does.
When you volunteer with us, you do not just give your time, you become part of the team. Volunteer staff are included in everything: team meetings, away days, and celebrations. The only difference between our paid staff and our volunteer staff is the pay cheque. The role, the welcome, and the value we place on everyone who works at Beacon House is exactly the same. We believe that understanding homelessness, its causes and its complexity, matters to the whole community, not just those who experience it. We are always pleased to visit schools, businesses, churches, and community groups to share what we do and why.
